WordPress is a great piece of open source web publishing software.
Over ten million web sites – ranging from my humble blog to the New York Times and the US State Department – trust WordPress to publish their writings, photos, podcasts, and videos to the web.
There are several flavors of WordPress:
- WordPress.com: A service that offers free, hosted WordPress blogs (there’s also a paid VIP version)
- WordPress.org: A community where you can download and contribute to the WordPress software
- WordPress MU: A version of WordPress that can power your own blog network
- BuddyPress: A version of WordPress that can power your own social network

Very lovely new design Toni. Are you on twitter anywhere? (I’m trying to follow all of Automattic folks on my twitter account @seowordpress)
Thanks, Brad
